Muse Show Fans “Mercy” with New Song

With just a couple of week left until the release of their highly anticipated new album, Drones, Muse have offered fans another new song from the ultra secretive record.

The new song is titled “Mercy” and is officially the third song to be released from the impending album.

On their YouTube page, where the song is currently available to stream (or you can just press play below), Muse frontman Matt Bellamy wrote the following about the track:

“The opening line of ‘Mercy’ – Help me I’ve fallen on the inside’- is a reference to the protagonist knowing and recognizing that they have lost something, they have lost themselves. This is where they realize they’re being overcome by the dark forces that were introduced in ‘Psycho.’”

Check out the song below.

“Mercy” joins previously released tracks “Psycho” and “Dead Inside” on the follow-up to 2012’s The 2nd Law.

Drones will officially hit stores, digital and physical, on June 8 through Warner Bros. For those who pre-order the album on iTunes, they will be gifted with an “instant grat” track.
