Bastille premiered their new song “Torn apart” last month, and almost as quickly as the dance-y song was uploaded, it was taken down. (Don’t worry, the song was put back up a little while after it was taken down).
Today, the group have released the music video for the song which is odd, to say the least. It begins with speeches from different people about love and then goes into the music video showing those who spoke at the beginning with their partner.
The video continues on with the couples doing couple-y things, but keep on morphing into other couples doing other things like having sex, watching TV, becoming a punching bag. Weird we know, our sentiments exactly.
But, if you were expecting to see any members of Bastille in the video don’t. The only person that has a blink-and-you-miss-it appearance is frontman Dan Smith who appears on the television screen briefly.
Check out the video here.
“Torn Apart” will appear on the band’s upcoming “mixtape” record, VS. Other People’s Heartache Pt. III which will be released on Dec. 8.
