Watch Max Bemis Battle His Inner Demon in New Video

Almost eight months after announcing that the new Say Anything album was in the mixing stages, the music video for the album’s first single, “Six Six Six” has officially been released.

The song was first released back in April by the band and was received with mixed reactions from fans.

As for the recently released video for the track, it explores what it’s like to be a 30-year-old man who finds himself with a wife and kid and all the anxieties that come along with that. Funny enough, Bemis revealed last week that his wife Sherri DuPree-Bemis (Eisley) will be expecting their second child sometime next year.

The video explores how Bemis’ “Jewish hero” heads down a path of self-destruction all while being followed by a familiar looking stalker who then gives him a smack in the face with a brick and then rest can sort of be predicted.

“Six Six Six” comes off the band’s sixth studio album (fitting), Hebrews which was released back in June. Before the album had been released, Bemis unveiled that it would sound very different from their previous records.

During an interview, he explained that the record would feature no guitars and would replace the typical guitar riffs with orchestral string arrangements while still sticking to their punk-inspired roots.

Bemis also revealed that the album would not have just a few guest vocalists on the 12 new tracks, but rather would have a slew of guest vocalists on the tracks.
