Avenged Sevenfold have premiered the music video for “This Means War,” off of last year’s release, Hail to the King. The music video comes a few weeks after the band revealed plans to re-release 2003’s hit album, Waking the Fallen.
Watch the full video which features footage that was shoot during the band’s two weeks in Latin America.
The re-release comes exactly 11 years, to the date, after the album made its debut through their former record label, Hopeless Records. Waking the Fallen was originally released on August 26, 2003, while Waking the Fallen: Resurrected is scheduled to be released on August 26, 2014 through Hopeless Records. The band left the record label after Waking the Fallen was released and were signed by Warner Brothers shortly after.
The re-released will not only include tracks such as their break-through song, “Unholy Confessions,” it will also include 11 never-before-heard songs and a 30-minute feature film which will include live footage from their archives. By the descriptions given about the upcoming DVD’s film, it sounds like it will be similar to their DVD, 2007’s All Excess.
