Today must be a good day to be involved in a superhero franchise because two big pieces of superhero news have been revealed.
Earlier in the day, we found out that after months of speculation, Channing Tatum has been chosen to take on the role of Gambit in a future X-Men film. No specific film has been given yet, but it’s beginning to sound like his apperance will happen in the next film for the franchise, X-Men: Apocalypse.
But why let Marvel have all the fun today (this eveing also marks the season one finale of Agents of SH.I.E.L.D.) when you can reveal your own big news, right DC Comics?
Man of Steel director, Zack Snyder took to Twitter earlier in the day to reveal the official costume for Ben Affleck’s Batman (Batfleck?). The costume will be put on display in the upcoming, Batman vs. Superman film, though we are not sure if they will leave the title the same when it comes out in May 2016.
The dark image, shows the caped crusader in his outfit, but the ears of the mask are a little shorter than what we are used to seeing. Snyder continued his Batman Twitter Takeover by teasing the first image of his version of the Batmobile which should be revealed tomorrow, according to his trolling.
The only thing we really need now is Wonder Woman’s official costume…and some kind of sneak peek at the story line. We’re just saying.
