It has only been a few days since The Cab released their five song EP, Lock Me Up, and almost a week since guitarist Alex Marshall said farewell to the band to go on his own to pursue other endeavors, but things don’t seem to be slowing down.
Today, the remaining members of the group have released the lyric video for one of the tracks on the EP, “Lock Me Up.” The new EP is the band’s first release through Republic Records after deciding to go the independent route when releasing their previous album, Symphony Soldier.
Funny enough, former Cab bassist Cash Colligan released a rap track titled “Ashes” as a remix to Fall Out Boy’s “My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark (Light ‘Em Up),” the same day and time The Cab released their record. Like FOB’s video for “Songs,” Colligan is seen burning The Cab’s CD and merchandise in his clip.
You’d think someone would get over, especially after leaving the group back in 2009; almost five years ago.
