Lana Del Rey might have revealed the release date for her anticipated new album Ultraviolence, but until now, there has been no evidence of new music.
A new song titled, “Meet Me in the Pale Moonlight” hit the web today and can be heard below. The track, we can assume, will be featured on the upcoming Dan Auerbach-produced album, but the NME has pointed out that there is also a probability that the song is just a treat for fans in the meantime and won’t be on the album.
Like many of the songs as of late to hit the pop music charts, “Moonlight” sounds like it belongs in the 70s during the height of disco with Del Rey’s haunting voice.
The songstress whose last new release was her own interpretation of Sleeping Beauty’s “Once Upon A Dream” unveiled that her new album would drop on May 1st. The jury is still out on whether or not the news was done intentional when a fan asked her or if was simply a slip of the tongue.
The record comes a month after she head out on her headlining tour which is set to begin on April 11. Many tour stops have already been declared sold out, so if you have the chance to obtain tickets, you better do so sooner than later.
