Skrillex Announces North American Tour Dates

We haven’t heard much  from Skrillex for a while now and it’s a little but of a surprise for someone who was huge in the electronic dance music scene for such an extended period of time.

Today, word dropped that the former From First to Last frontman and EDM staple will be heading out on a tour. Skrillex will be bringing his massive show as well as that iconic mothership of his, to arena all over the country as part of his Summer tour.

His tour is slated to start at this week’s South By Southwest which will then segue to his scheduled appearances at Winter Music Conference, Ultra Music Festival and Coachella eventually leading to his headlining tour which will kick off in Oklahoma City’s Zoo Amphitheatre on May 23rd.

The tour will then continue on through North America, eventually wrapping up with two June performances at Denver’s Red Rocks Amphitheatre and a July set in Portland, Maine.

What So Not and Milo & Otis will join the DJ on all tour dates while Dillon Francis and DJ Snake will take turns alternating as openers. Also revealed is that during the Denver date, the line-up will be expanded, but who will be joining him on the stage is still unknown.

Coincidentally, this announcement comes a few days after the producer launched a tour app for both Apple and Droid which contains a folder with 11 hidden objects and a countdown ending Monday, March 10th at 6:30 p.m. EST. For those looking for the app, it’s titled, “Alien Ride.” Tour dates can be seen below.
