When it was announced that VersaEmerge has been dropped by Fueled by Ramen, their longtime record label back in August, fans of the group started to wonder if it spelled the end for them. At first, it was just a rumors that the record label had dropped the band, but when their website had moved VersaEmerge to the alumni category, fans were starting to wonder if the band might be calling it a day.
After voicing all their concerns, the band has assured fans that they were not splitting up and that they were in the process of recording their long-awaited new album. Verse Emerge were scheduled to appear at this past Summer’s Vans Warped tour, but last-minute pulled out because they were working on that album.
Last night, the band released a music video for a song titled, “No Consequences.” Along with that video came notice that VersaEmerge would be no more, but before you get your tighty-whities in a bind, the twosome have decided to shorten their name to simply VERSA.
Read the quick statement that they posted on Facebook alongside the video:
“In the summer of 2012, we filmed a music video for the song ‘No Consequences’. We are happy to announce that we can finally share that video with all of our fans. This will be the last piece of content released as VersaEmerge. Expect music from VERSA before the year is up.
