Last week was a good week for news concerning the soundtrack for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.
Everyday, it looked like the people behind the major film were giving fans news about the soundtrack as a way to hold them over until the sequel opens up in theaters.
First, there was news that The National were almost left off the soundtrack because their contribution had been too dark; they ended up being on the soundtrack at the end. Then Christina Aguilera announced via Twitter that she had been working on a new song that would only be seen (or heard) on the soundtrack.
Following that announcement, the full list of musicians and their songs had been released, revealing a mixed bag of artists making it on the album. On Friday, a Seattle radio station debuted a live version of the Lumineers’ contribution, “Gale Song” from a show that the band had performed at.
And just when you think that wasn’t enough to tide you over until November, today, Sia’s song for the soundtrack made its own debut on the internet. The song which is titled, “Elastic Heart” premiere on Zane Lowe’s radio show on BBC Radio 1. The song which not only features the Titanium singer, but also The Weeknd and Diplo is currently available online, or you can just simply listen to it here.
The Hunger Games: Catching Fire is due out on November 22 with the soundtrack coming out that Tuesday, November 19.
