Motion City Soundtrack have returned with a brand new track titled, “Inside Out.” The band have teamed up with Rolling Stones Magazine to debut the new track from their upcoming album.
While on Warped Tour this past Summer, the band revealed a new track much to the amusement and happiness of fans and casual listeners alike. Their last album, 2012’s Go was not that big of a hit and fans were starting to think that things were not going well musically.
In October 2012, the band released “Major Leagues”, which was included on a 7-inch with another song called “Severance”; the song was also featured on Rolling Stone’s website. Then, drummer Tony Thaxton announced that he was leaving the band after being with them for 11 years. But things seem to be looking up for them.
“‘Inside Out’ is how we’re feeling these days,” Pierre told Rolling Stone in an interview. “We have all this creative energy clawing to get out and a sudden overabundance of material. We’ve upped the tempos from our last endeavor a bit and are focusing on having fun and making rock. This song came together incredibly fast, from inception to completion, and we couldn’t wait to put it on an album. So here it is.”
And that’s just it; here it is. Listen to the new song here.
