The Pixies have returned to the music world with their brand new song, “Bagboy.” This is the first new song to come from the band in nine years.
The news of the new track hit the internet through their Twitter account where they posted the following music to surprised fans all over.
For those who like the song (which can be heard below in a video that had been posted), the Pixies are currently giving the song away for free. All you really have to do is fill in your email address on their website and bam, the new track is yours. The last song that they released was 2004’s “Bam Thwok”, which was supposed to be featured on the Shrek 2 soundtrack, but ended up being released exclusively through iTunes.
This is some good news to come from the band since it was announced just last week that bassist, Kim deal had decided that it was best fort her to leave the band after being with them for 25 years. But who knows, maybe this will be the push they need to make a new album and go on tour since they haven’t been on one since 2011.
