A few months back, when being interviewed by Canadian newspaper, The National Post, Bloc Party lead guitarist, Russell Lissack told them that the band would once again be heading into hiatus mode after their performance at this year’s Latitude Festival on July 19 at Henham Park in Southwold, Suffolk.
But while the band had said that they would be going back into hibernation, it didn’t mean that they would be leaving fans empty-handed. The band just recently announced that they would be releasing a new EP titled, The Nextwave Sessions which will be available on June 25 and will feature new songs that the band had been playing live including, “Children of the Future,””Montreal,” “X-cutioner” and the song that has become the music video that they released today, “Ratchet.”
