The Civil Wars are set to return back to the music world with a brand new album this Summer.
This afternoon, the group revealed the news of their return on their website. Included in the post was a picture of the new self-titled album cover as well as handwritten notes from Joy Williams and John Paul White thanking fans for their patience while they got over some inner-group issues. White writes in his note to fans: “Patience is a virtue. Yours has been appreciated.”
The album is so far scheduled for a late-Summer release and will be a follow-up to their debut, Barton Hollow.
The future of the band was in peril when they cancelled a European tour mid-trip, citing irreconcilable differences which made it sound like the band was heading down a divorce-like route.
