After months of speculation and cryptic hints from the band, the Rolling Stones have finally announced that they will be heading out on a North American tour this year. The “50 & Counting” tour so far has been confirmed for nine cities in North America including Los Angeles, Oakland, San Jose, Toronto, Chicago, Boston, Philadelphia and then they will head back to the UK just in time for their performance at the Glastonbury Festival on June 29.
Only the Oakland, San Jose, Toronto, and Chicago shows will have their tickets go on sale on April 8 at 10 a.m. while pre-sales will actually take place on April 5 at 10 a.m.
No other tour dates have been confirmed yet and those tickets are still in limbo when they will be hitting the web for sale. The one thing that Stones’ fans should count on are the tickets being really pricey and to have an open mind (and wallet) if they are thinking about checking out the tour.
One thing should be noted though, last month Spin Magazine had reported that a source had told them that the upcoming tour would actually have 18 North American shows and so far only nine have been confirmed.
