Everclear to Continue Nostalgia Tour

Everclear have announced that they will be heading back on the road for part two of their 90’s nostalgia tour. The “Summerland” tour will be hitting the road again for the 2013 edition of it which can be summarized as a “traveling ’90s alt-rock radio flashback tour” according to Spin Magazine.

Summerland 2013 will feature sets from other 90’s bands including: Live, Filter, and Sponge. The tour will start in Florida on May 29 and go all the way through July 28, the tour’s last day taking place in Kansas City.

Everclear frontman, Art Alexakis said in statement, “Last year’s Summerland was a blast. This year, we’ve brought a decidedly edgier flavor bill to satisfy all of the fans of Nineties rock & roll out there. It’s going to be an amazing summer night every night on Summerland 2013: Alternative Guitars.”

This isn’t the only nostalgia 90s tour to be hitting the road this Summer, Mark McGrath from Sugar Ray is also heading out on his “Under the Sun” tour. Last year, both Sugar Ray and Everclear were on the “Summerland” bill, but this year the bands have decided to go their separate ways.

When asked why Sugar Ray was going their own way by Rolling Stone Magazine, McGrath responded with, “Unfortunately, Art and I have different ideas about what the tour is about. He’s doing his own thing now.”
