EDM fans from around the world have gather in Miami for what is to be the first year that Ultra Music Festival has two full weekends dedicated to half naked people, screaming and shouting and electronic music. Chances are that those attending the festival didn’t expect for one of the show’s stages to collapse and have several people stuck under it less than 24 hours before the weekend was to begin. According to The Miami Herald, up to four people have been critically injured.

While the music festival isn’t slated to start until tomorrow, last minute things were being done so that everything would be ready for the thousands of eager fans. The collapse apparently happened during a run-through of the sound systems before the gates were to open tomorrow afternoon.

In an email sent, Lt. Ignatius Carroll, a Miami Fire Rescue spokesman said that those victim were being taken to the near by Ryder Trauma Center. There has yet to be any information as to what caused the stage to collapse, but the current high winds could have played into it.

So far, residents of Downtown Miami have been posting pictures of the area full of police and emergency vehicles just like this one courtesy of @Jave305’s shot.
